Who can introduce “Fish: The Boss ?”
Ok, I am Alberto Arrindell
aka "Fish The Boss" the newest Soca/Calypso and cross-over artist to
hit the airwaves. My music is a mixture of many cultures from many islands in
the Caribbean's, South America, and as far as Africa. I reside on the island of
St. Martin, a mix of French and Dutch.
My music captivates the mind, body, and soul to relax and to invigorate. My
group, "Badd Intentions" consists of my two brothers; Orlando, on
keyboards, and Roberto, on bass guitar, and yours truly, on vocals. The group
was formed on September 3, 2000. "Smell It" is our first break-out CD.
It has a lot of "bad man" lyrics on it. All you rude boys and girls
out there, this one is for you. Hope you enjoy it!
Fish The Boss
"Badd Intentions"
THE badd boy of calypso is
back this time more controversial than last year. the title of the new album
phone scandal says it all. The song caused the artist to end up in court the
day of the competition, April 21st 2003. The song got soooo much publicity it
ended up on the BBC news of LONDON, Caribbean edition and was requested by the
Dutch radio station Wereld Omroep.
Beside the song phone scandal, the album is packed with some other great tunes
like “Hold she for me”, which is a tune of great imagination because of the
concept of the song. Another track on the album is entitled ”Hades Fire”, which
has a rock guitar on it that makes it sound ‘ruff’. On track 5, the female black smith is another cross over type
music. I call it orchestrated Soca. Iit is something new. The rest of the album
has a lot of other great tracks that are worth hearing. so once again, the band
BADD INTENTIONS and FISH THE BOSS is on the move and stay tuned for the next
album for 2004, entitled “FISH POISON”.
HI TO ONE AND ALL
I am ALBERTO ARRINDELL a.k.a FISH DA BOSS and this is my fourth album and on
this one I think I struck the right notes and tunes. There is something for
everyone from party songs to serious ‘Kaiso’.
For the dance hall lovers, there is “IN YUH IN”, which is a masterpiece
and for the real party rockers there is “Bringing Down the Roof” and for the
die hard ‘Kaiso’ lovers there are multi-tracks pertaining to everyday real life
situations. So sit back listen to these tunes and choose a couple of them
because there is something here for everyone.
Until next album see ya .
LOVE AND PEACE TO ALL
