With the majority of patrons rooting for her, nineteen year old University of St. Martin student and aspiring educator, Fabiana Richardson made a clean sweep of all the categories of the Senior Carnival Queen Pageant.
Richardson indicated that her victory was a signal to young ladies to pursue their dreams and become queens in all aspects of their lives.
After delivering a good performance with an Indian Theme in all segments, Richardson won Best Talent, Best Evening wear, Best Interview, Best swim wear and Miss Photogenic.

However, St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) stated that Richardson was also expected to be in transit in St. Maarten today, Wednesday, to catch a connecting flight to Antigua, where she will compete in the Miss Jaycees Caribbean Show 2006.
Richardson was the winner of this year’s Senior Carnival Queen contest in St. Maarten. She is a University of ST. Maarten (USM) student, working on a degree in Primary Education.
She is co-captain of St. Maarten’s two-time reigning dance champions “ Adrenaline SWI” and no stranger to publicity, as she has danced at various shows on different island, traveled to New York to the world famous Apollo Theatre and made an appearance on Black Entertainment Television (BET).
She represented St. Maarten in the Leeward Islands Talented Teen Competition in Anguilla.
